Christophe Schmitt, born in 1959 in Selestat (France), graduated from the University of Colmar (France) where he obtained a Degree in Economics and Controlling (1988) as well as Business Management from French Business School ESSEC (2000).
Christophe started his career at Rudloff in 1979 in the Sales Development department, where he was promoted to Production Director 4 years later. From 1990, at Sommer Allibert, he occupied the position of General Manager in charge of automotive activities, first in England (Washington), then in Germany (1996). In 2001, Christophe Schmitt took over the head of the Volkswagen Division of Faurecia Interior Systems and became the co-manager. In January 2003, he was appointed Industrial Director of Faurecia Interior Systems. He then went on, in July of the same year, to take over the position of Director of the Components activity of Faurecia. In January 2006, Christophe was appointed Executive Vice President of Faurecia Interior Systems, member of the Executive Committee of Faurecia and President of SAS (a 50/50 joint-venture of Faurecia and Continental).
Since May 1, 2013 he holds the position of Executive Vice-President, Faurecia Clean Mobility.
